Introduction to Hypnobirthing
Welcome to your free Introduction to Hypnobirthing video & complementary Hypnobirthing Mp3
Firstly, congratulations on your pregnancy! It is such an exciting time with lots to organise and plan for. This video aims to introduce you to me as a Hypnobirthing teacher, and you to the concept of Hypnobirthing in your pregnancy and birth. I explain what the ‘Hypno’ side of things means and delve into the science behind birth including the central nervous system, the muscles of the uterus and the mind - body connection. It is all very logical and works with how real birth physiology should!
As a practising midwife, I have attended hundreds of births and for those who have included Hypnobirthing as part of their antenatal education, it makes a dramatic difference to how they perceive birth, make decisions, have their birth partner as a super valuable support, and are overall a lot calmer, confident and in control.
Thank you for watching and learning how Hypnobirthing can massively help you. Here is a complementary Hypnobirthing track for you to download onto your device and listen to at your leisure. There are 5 other tracks available as part of my Hypnobirthing courses. Enjoy!

Frequently asked questions

Although there is no set gestation that is best for Hypnobirthing, ideally somewhere between 25 and 35 weeks is optimal. I have had couples complete a course as early as 19 weeks and as late as 38 weeks.

you can absolutely attend on your own if you wish, however, I would 100% recommend your birth partner to attend a course with you so that you are both prepared and you have the correct support you need both physically and emotionally. Many people have brought along their mother or a friend if their birth partner cannot attend.

Yes! Hypnobirthing is actually a full antenatal education course in itself so it is not vital to attend other antenatal classes. Hypnobirthing has the benefit of preparing you mentally for birth as well as providing all the birth knowledge you need.
